Mother's Day Tea Part II

It's Tablescape Thursday again with Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch and I'm going to get a head start and post for Foodie Friday with Gollum @ Designs by Gollum. Please visit these lovely hosts for more participants.

I'm going to get the most of my Mother's Day tea and share more pictures with you and a recipe or two as well.

My Curry Chicken Sandwiches on Croissant are becoming a signature dish at my teas.

I also made Pesto, Tomato, and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches just like the ones I've had at a favorite tea house.

And of course, what's a tea without Cucumber Dill Finger Sandwiches?

For a cool refreshment, a punch bowl of Strawberry Lemonade.

Pesto, Tomato, and Cheese Croissant

Croissants
Provolone Cheese
Tomatoes, patted dry
Mayonnaise
Prepared Pesto Sauce

  • Combine mayonnaise and some pesto sauce, not too much or it will be runny
  • Split croissant, lay a slice of provolone
  • Top with tomato slices
  • Spread pesto mayonnaise on top half of croissant
  • Top with croissant and slice into halves or thirds

Strawberry Lemonade

Frozen Pink Lemonade
Ice
Frozen Strawberries
Lemon Slices

  • Prepare Frozen Lemonade with less water
  • Add plenty of ice
  • Add frozen strawberries
  • Garnish with lemon slices
Sometimes the best recipes are the simplest.

Happy Tablescape Thursday and Foodie Friday everyone. Thanks for stopping by!

Till next time,

Hi,Lorna
Lovely desserts to go with the tea time.
Something interesting just happened. I clicked the background fairy icon on the left top of your blog, but I could not get in. Tell you why, because it has "fair"y and "Free" background in the workding. You know those words are very sensitive to someone Authority's ears so I could not get in. I will try it later. Sometimes they block it just because they are sensitive to some special dates, you know the June 4th Tian-An Gate event in China. Many other sites are blocked these days. I am used to it now.
