UD Graduation

Hello friends, today I'm joining Heidi at Heart and Home for Gratitude Wednesday. I'd like to share with you a snapshot of our lives, past and present. On Sunday, May 16, 2010 our eldest son graduated Cum Laude from the University of Dallas. This is one of those monumental moments in life that just takes your breath away and makes you reflect on all of God's blessings in your life.

Have we actually come this far? By God's grace, Yes! Being a homeschooling mom, my children's education has been a priority in my life. And this day, I tasted the sweet fruits of my labor! To see one's child accomplish his goals and make his mark in this world is one of the most gratifying moments in a parent's life.

I know that the friends he's made will be lifelong ones, no matter which path each takes.

He and his lovely girlfriend share many memories of their college days, and now face a bright tomorrow with new chapters in their lives to fulfill.

Where has time gone? This was me and my hubby at my graduation day at UCLA 20 years ago.

I was a young bride and a young mom, and our son was 2 years old the day I graduated.

He was there the day I received my diploma...

and I was there when he received his.

My husband and I couldn't be prouder and more grateful for our son. The next 20 years promises to be filled with a day like this for each of our children. One down, 8 to go!

Thank you for stopping by the Lace and Ivy Cottage.

Till next time,

Hi Lorna,
How wonderful, congratulations to you, your husband, and of course your son on his wonderful achievement. I can imagine you must be bursting with pride! Wow, you homeschooled, that's amazing - and obviously you did a great job! I'm still trying to digest the "eight more"!!! What an exciting future is ahead for you all!
Thanks for linking up today, have a great week.

Oh Lorna, Congratulations to your son!Good luck to him in crossing his next milestone. I can imagine how proud you are of him and to be a cum laude takes a lot of conscientiousness, responsibility and dedication. You truly amaze me, home schooling your children and so many of them and on top of that, you accomplish this. Yep, it is also your accomplishment so congrats to you too!...Christine

Such a wonderful post Lorna! What a good looking young man he is. I could feel your pride and joy in this post, and you so deserve this day and many more days like it. I loved seeing your picture at your graduation and his picture at your graduation. He's come a long way, and it's all because of the great start you and your husband gave him. Congratulations! laurie

I just dropped in from Mona's blog, just for the lovely name of yours, and am just so pleased to see your handsome, bright son in such a proud moment.

And all those years you spent at those little desks, with all those papers and maps and work---this is a wonderful culmination of a grand era, with more and more to come.
And a great part of those honors he holds---that's also for you.

Brava to you for your dedication and determination, and congratulations to your graduate!

This way my buddy Wesley Virgin's biography starts with this SHOCKING AND CONTROVERSIAL VIDEO.

You see, Wesley was in the military-and shortly after leaving-he discovered hidden, "MIND CONTROL" tactics that the CIA and others used to get whatever they want.

THESE are the same SECRETS many celebrities (especially those who "became famous out of nothing") and top business people used to become wealthy and successful.

You probably know how you only use 10% of your brain.

Really, that's because the majority of your brain's power is UNCONSCIOUS.

Perhaps that expression has even taken place INSIDE your own brain... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's brain about 7 years back, while driving an unregistered, beat-up trash bucket of a vehicle without a license and in his bank account.

"I'm absolutely frustrated with going through life paycheck to paycheck! When will I finally make it?"

You've been a part of those those types of questions, right?

Your very own success story is waiting to be written. You need to start believing in YOURSELF.
